Darkness, The Art of Iteration, and How to Deal with Rude People
↳ 1 idea, 1 reflection, and 1 insight
This week we got away from Hurricane Ian and have been up in the mountains of North Georgia in a little cabin owned by a dear friend.
On another note:
I have been pondering on the changes ahead for this newsletter, the purpose of it, and the ways you'll be able to benefit from it.
I'll share reflections, tips, and insights from building Ponderer to $100M and, simultaneously, the journey to becoming a free man, a free creator.
Today's format is slightly different as I keep iterating and simplifying each week.
Starting next week, I will begin releasing ultra-specific, actionable guides from my experiences building online businesses, working with SaaS companies, marketing agencies, and Ponderer [digital media company].
Welcome to edition #7 of the rOS newsletter, brought to you via Beehiiv, the #1 newsletter platform built for growth.
Today at a Glance:
The Art of Iteration
The Divinity of Darkness
How to Deal with Rude People [as a Content Creator]
Here are 1 idea, 1 reflection, and 1 insight:
🔆 One Idea
.
The Art of Iteration:
This is perhaps the flagship idea of the journey to building Ponderer and this newsletter. The knot that ties everything together.
The main point of this idea is understanding the leverage created by the internet.
Once you've figured out that you can either write a program to perform or record a piece of media to explain something, you don't have to show up physically anymore—they're available to anyone on the internet, anywhere, at any time.
First, you get going, and then, you get good.
No room for being paralyzed by perfectionism.
Like an entrepreneur's journey, iteration is a spiritual journey more than anything else.
Power Move: I will be building, refining, and improving my processes, newsletter, website, products, and other offers in an effort to simplify further.
.
🔆 One Reflection
.
The Divinity of Darkness:
Darkness itself is divine, but there is nothing about darkness and light that is different than itself.
The only way that I can consider divinity is because I first experienced the darkness of my humanity.
Every day, we experience shit [people, decisions, actions, etc.], and that shit itself throws us straight into the gates of darkness.
What have we found by being here and living this way?
The greatest darkness inside the mind can lead to the most significant breakthrough of divinity. Darkness is divine.
Power Move: Stop trying to push the darkness away. Instead, face it, journal about it, learn from it, and grow from it.

🔆 One Insight
.
Gary Vaynerchuk on how to deal with rude people as a content creator.
I appreciate his take on that topic, and I believe we all should practice or at least consider his perspective.
If you are building something and creating content online, you will face rude people along the way.
If we take a moment to understand the source of their attack on you or your content, we would most likely feel compassion instead of anger.
