Relationships, Building Software Without Coding, and How to Write a Great Cold Email
↳ ❤️ Plus, a new name and new look!
Hola! 👋 Ricky here.
Welcome to edition #9 of my newsletter.
Last night, we celebrated my twin sons' 2nd birthday.
These two are going to be forces of nature in their own way.
It is interesting how different they are from each other.
They were born when I was 38, which is late by society's standards.
But who gives a damn?
Being responsible for two little humans' life is challenging in many ways but extremely rewarding.
The higher the risk, the bigger the reward.
So, if you don't have kids yet, I'll say this:
Take your time 😆 No rush.
Today's newsletter is brought to you by WarriorCon4!

🔆 One Reflection
A relationship without hard moments does not exist. Even emotionally mature people will not get it right every time. Being attached to things, always being pleasant and entertaining, is unrealistic. There will be occasional down moments as you learn how to love each other better.

🔆 One Idea
Most important of all life moves:
Marry the person who tells you to "keep going" when you struggle. Pass on the one who says, "Are you done yet?"

🔆 One Insight
.
Last week, I introduced you to a new format for this newsletter and told you I would reveal the new name and design this week.
Well, here it is:
Seven by Ricky
A minimalistic approach by design.
The idea is to keep my brand as aligned as possible with Ponderer.
Personal and company brands can feed on each other's growth and momentum.
I posted about a related idea on Linkedin.
It will give you more context on what I'm talking about.
I'm focused on keeping things simple, so I decided to make the color, fonts, and other things the same as Ponderer to avoid decision fatigue.
Simplifying takes time.
So, what is Seven [VII] by Ricky?
Every Sunday, you will get 7 reflections and insights from my journey as a man, creator, and founder - building Ponderer to $100M.
All seven things help me unlock the power and clarity to build consistent value and expand my leverage in business and life.
I hope it does the same for you.
Why is this important?
One of the main reasons most creators don't "make it" is that they lose momentum.
It is tough to create value consistently enough to build leverage.
One of the reasons for that is those creators do not focus intentionally and deliberately on accessing their power daily.
To keep going, you need something that keeps you going.
If your vehicle leaves you on the road every time before you get to your destination, what is the value of that vehicle?

🔆 One Reel
Keanu Reeves was asked, "What do you think happens when we die?"
His response hit my heart like a ton of bricks, but it also gave me power, perspective, and a reminder of why I do what I do.

🔆 One Tweet
Sahil Bloom on How to Write a Great Cold Email.
Writing and sending effective cold emails is a "behind-the-scene" superpower and skill for any business that will help you:
Start a business relationship
Get paid sponsors for your brand
Have great podcast guests
Acquire enterprise customers for your SaaS
And more
Unfortunately, most people are doing a terrible job at it.
A perfect example is the messages I get on Linkedin.
Cold email outreach is a part of our arsenal at Ponderer, and Sahil did a great job breaking down the process of writing a great cold email.
As he said, "One cold email can completely change your life."

🔆 One Tool
Tool of the week that is useful:
It is called Bubble.io.
I'm using this tool to build software for Ponderer without the need to know how to code.
You see, Ponderer will not be just a collection of newsletter verticals.
It will become an ecosystem of digital assets.
My vision for Ponderer is far more significant than me and the problems I solve with my personal brand. However, they are linked and aligned.
I love the no-code movement, and Bubble makes something that used to be impossible for someone like me [building software] possible.

🔆 One Question
If you could build anything, what would it be?

Until next Sunday,
